Stan McDaniels career includes working as a businessman. In July 2022, he filed with the Escambia County Supervisor of Elections Office to run for the position of Escambia County Commissioner District 4. McDaniels arrest later led to a landmark court decision allowing people in Florida to openly carry guns. Despite the appeals court’s dramatic expansion of gun rights in the State of Florida, upon his release, Mr. McDaniels was unable to possess a gun in the state. Despite this Mr. McDaniels called himself a patriot and indicated he has no regrets.
