Commander Jon “Fizzle” Fay is a retired United States Navy officer, former Executive
Officer of the Blue Angels, and a leader with more than two decades of experience building
and leading high-performing teams.
A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, where he lettered in football, Jon served.
more than 24 years as a Naval Flight Officer. During his career, he logged over 3,200 flight
hours and 168 carrier-arrested landings, supporting combat operations during Operation
Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom, as well as humanitarian relief efforts during
Operation Sahayogi Haat in Nepal.
Beyond the cockpit, Jon served as a Defense Legislative Fellow in the U.S. House of
Representatives and as a Congressional Advisor to four Secretaries of Defense. He later
went on to help lead one of the most recognized teams in the world, serving as Executive
Officer of the Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, during the 2022–2023
show seasons. His leadership with the team was featured in J.J. Abrams’ IMAX
documentary The Blue Angels, which highlighted precision, trust, and professionalism
of U.S. Navy and Marine Corps aviators to audiences worldwide.
Following his retirement from the U.S. Navy, Jon transitioned into the private sector, where
he now leads strategic aviation asset investment and portfolio management initiatives
across $1 billion in inventory exposure. As an Asset Management Director, he
oversees acquisition, valuation, optimization, and monetization strategies for large-scale
aviation assets, driving more than $8 million in annual revenue through disciplined capital
allocation and portfolio performance management. In addition to his corporate leadership
role, Jon and his wife, Amy, founded a consulting and professional speaking business
focused on leadership development, business consulting services, and team-driven
performance.
Jon continues his commitment to service as a Governor DeSantis-appointed member of
the Board of Directors for Veterans Florida and as a Director with the Blue Angels
Association, and previously served on the advisory board for USO Florida. He is a
candidate for the Florida House of Representatives, District Two.
Known for his focus on accountability, trust, teamwork, and elite performance, Jon draws
on his experiences on the ballfield and the battlefield, as well as in the boardroom to
inspire leaders and organizations to perform at their best.
Outside of work, Jon enjoys spending time with his wife and children, whether that is on the ballpark or at the beach.
