Dr. David Williams has a rich background in education, having dedicated over 40 years in various roles within the school system. His experience includes teaching, coaching and as an administrator. He has served as principal at Pensacola High School for 13 years. In that time Dr. Williams successfully improved graduation rates significantly among all students and was specifically able to create motivational structure for students who require more focus.
Dr. David Williams emphasizes the following critical issues in his role on the school board:
School Safety: Ensuring a safe environment for students and staff.
Closing the Achievement Gap: Implementing strategies to improve educational outcomes for all
students.
Workforce Shortages: Addressing shortages of teachers, bus drivers, and food service staff.
Community Involvement:
Dr. Williams is active in community initiatives, collaborating with local organizations to enhance educational opportunities and support for students. His vision includes creating a comprehensive educational framework that prepares students for both college and careers.
David Williams’s experience and commitment to education have positioned him as an effective leader in the Escambia County School District and serving on the School Board.
