D.C. Reeves was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida (FL). Mayor Reeves elected by the citizens of Pensacola and sworn in as mayor of Pensacola on November 22, 2022, becoming the youngest person elected to the office in more than a century. He attended local schools before building a career as a sports journalist, author, and small business owner.
Since taking office Mayor Reeves has focused on strengthening public safety, investing in city employees through historic pay reform, and driving economic growth through major initiatives and partnerships. Under his leadership, the city has secured more than $100 million in grant funding and launched transformative projects that are shaping Pensacola’s future. Recognized nationally for his leadership, he serves on the Advisory Board of the U.S. Conference of Mayors and chairs its Committee on Jobs, Education, and Workforce. Mayor Reeves is committed to making Pensacola a beautiful place to live, work, and raise a family.
